Se graduó del Taller Cinematográfico Mantarraya en el año 2015 . Es el director, productor y guionista de la ópera prima “DONDE DUERMEN LOS PÁJAROS” seleccionada en los festivales FICUNAM y GIFF. Obtuvo el estímulo Creadores con Trayectoria, del Programa de Estímulo a la Creación y Desarrollo Artístico (PECDA) 2023. Ganador del Apoyo a la Producción de cortometraje con Trayectoria del IMCINE 2024. Actualmente, “CORAZÓN DE PLATA” su primera exposición individual multimedia, se exhibe en el Museo de Arte Abstracto Manuel Felguérez. También formó parte de las exposiciones colectivas RE-INVENCIONES y POLICLÍNICA, de fotografía y arte contemporáneo. Su trabajo ha girado en torno a los temas de la identidad, los contrastes y tensiones socioeconómicas en México, así como del deterioro ambiental del país y el extractivismo de las empresas mineras en el estado de Zacatecas.

He is the director, producer and screenwriter of the debut film DONDE DUERMEN LOS PÁJAROS [EN] WHERE THE BIRDS SLEEP selected at the FICUNAM and GIFF. He obtained the Creators with Trajectory stimulus, from the Stimulus Program for Artistic Creation and Development (PECDA) 2023. Winner of Production Support short film with IMCINE 2024 Trajectory. Currently, CORAZÓN DE PLATA, [EN] SILVER HEART his first multimedia individual exhibition, is exhibited at the Museum of Art Abstract Manuel Felguérez. It was also part of the group exhibitions RE-INVENTIONS and POLICLÍNICA, photography and contemporary art. His work has revolved around the themes of identity, contrasts and tensions socioeconomic conditions in Mexico, as well as the environmental deterioration of the country and the extractivism of mining companies in the state of Zacatecas.

La razón por la que los españoles decidieron “fundar” hace 478 años Zacatecas (un territorio que ya estaba habitado) se debió a su interés en los metales preciosos que encontraban abundantemente en el territorio. Desde hace casi cinco siglos, la minería ha sido partícipe en la vida de la gente que habitamos Zacatecas. Radica en nuestro imaginario, existe en los habitantes de Zacatecas un arraigo subliminal o insconsciente hacia dicha industria.

[EN] ...Quarry face and Silver heart. The reason why the Spanish decided to “found” Zacatecas 478 years ago (a territory that was already inhabited) was because of their interest in the precious metals that they found in abundance in the territory. For almost five centuries, mining has been part of the lives of the inhabitants of Zacatecas. It is in our imagination, there is a subliminal or unconscious attachment to said industry in the inhabitants of Zacatecas.

que combina el mundo del documental y la ficción, a través de retratos de personas de diferentes edades, sexo y contexto socioeconómico en lugares donde se puede apreciar el impacto y huella ecológica que ha generado la industria minera en el territorio zacatecano.
Influenciado por el cine, la literatura y el anime de ciencia ficción, Alejandro Alatorre retrata a gente del estado de Zacatecas.
Caracterizándolos con prótesis de látex, maquillaje y ojos artificiales para maniquíes, con el fin de sugerir al espectador las posibles consecuencias derivadas del impacto ecológico minero en la salud y fisonomía de sus habitantes. Los títulos de las obras hacen referencia a los elementos potencialmente tóxicos (EPT) presentes en los residuos mineros abandonados en Zacatecas.
that combines the world of documentary and fiction, through portraits of people of different ages, sex and socioeconomic context in places where you can appreciate the impact and ecological footprint that the mining industry has generated in the Zacatecan territory.
Influenced by science fiction cinema, literature and anime, Alejandro Alatorre portrays people from the state of Zacatecas.
Characterizing them with latex prostheses, makeup and artificial eyes for mannequins, in order to suggest to the viewer the possible consequences derived from the mining ecological impact on the health and physiognomy of its inhabitants. The titles of the works refer to the potentially toxic elements (EPT) present in the abandoned mining waste in Zacatecas.
